Irčne lives a great and carefree life: She has two children, is happily married and is a successful lawyer. However, one day, she is already over 50 years old, her whole world collapses: Her husband is leaving her and announces it in such a manner that she feels completely helpless. In addition to this, she learns that her father is not the man who raised her, instead he is a Jewish musician, who had to flee from the Nazis and emigrated after the war to Israel. Irčne is driving across Europe following the tracks of this old man, who lives nowadays in Vienna, and who initially tries to avoid the woman. With 80 years he is missing the strength to have a sudden daughter. However, Irčne is not on the search for a father figure, rather she simply wants to get to know the man and - through him and the legacy of his stories - to discover who she really is.
